A day with my Dad
I woke up today and the first thing i did was call my Mom, unfortunately her phone is either turned off or dead having no battery charge....she forgets to charge at times. Afterwards i called my Dad and told him that i would be ready in 20 minutes.
It's his day off today as well as mines' so we were going to hang out. I didn't work out this morning because i stayed up late last night playing around with his new toy..a MacBook Pro 2Ghz with an Intel Duo chip!!! What an awesome machine!!!!
Mind you, i'm not a Mac-user per se but man...i think i just had a revelation. His MacBook Pro has everything a PC user could ever want right at your fingertips. Let me give you an example:
When i hooked up my HP SE DV1580 it took me oh around 2-3 days to hook up to my personal wireless network. Why so long you might ask? well...i simply don't know.
Maybe it's because i had to go to the Internet Connections tools and fiddle around with the TCP/IP settings, or maybe make sure it's on auto-detect so that it detects the network settings (my network settings) correctly. Or maybe it was because the Nortong Anti-Virus settings had it's personal firewall turned ON!!! man what a pain that was...i kid you not...i even had to call my nephew who is a PC expert extraordinaire to walk me through this network mess....however thank God....i was able to figure it out.
When it came down to it it was all pretty simple. All i had to do was go to the Norton Ant-Virus personal firewall settings and turn that sucker OFF!!! And waalah...I was able to finall go online baby!!!! But still...that whole process took me approximately not 1, not 2, but 3 whole days!!!!! 3 days of fiddlin' around when the only thing i had to do was to turn the personal firewall of the Norton Anti-Virus program to the OFF position. So basically, the only person to blame here is..ME..how stupid and dumb do i feel right now you think??? very dumb. oh well!!!
Now, as for my Dad's 2Ghz MacBook Pro as soon as i turned it on it detected my network. All's i had to do was select my network from the Mac's drop down menu of all the available networks and enter my password and waalah!!!! i was online baby!!!!
And that was it, so very simple!!!!
Ladies and Gentlemen, I am now a Mac-user as well as a Mac-believer, and now a Mac supporter!!! I promise you this is no way shape or form a Macintosh adverstisement, just from my own personal experience!!!!
Don't get me wrong i still love my new HP dv1580se laptop it truly is one of the best out there currently....my next computer purchase however will definitely be a MAC!!!
This is my HP dv1580se that my Dad bought for me

This is my Dad's sleek, & super sexy dream machine!!!!
2Ghz MacBook Pro w/Intel Duo Chip!!!!

...and that ladies and gentlemen is what's going on!!!!
